Lately, I've been feeling overwhelmed by the city. The constant noise, the crowds, the sheer volume of everything... it gets to you, right? Then, the other day, I was walking past one of those massive concrete buildings downtown – you know the type, all angles and imposing grey. And there, on a tiny ledge, was a dove. Just sitting, completely still.
The contrast hit me hard. This delicate bird against the cold, hard building. This small moment of peace against the backdrop of urban chaos. That's where the inspiration sparked. I thought how cool it would be to capture that in a photo and then make a print out of it. Simple, but impactful. The photo would be in high contrast, very sharp. Focusing on that juxtaposition between nature and modern urban structures.
I think this idea would look great on many things. On a tote bag or t-shirt would bring that feeling of calm into daily routines. A wall print of this photograph will definitely act as a window to pause and breath in the comfort of your living space.
I imagine the same concept applied to many other scenarios: a flower growing in an old vehicle, a kitten sleeping in a subway station or even an abandoned book with birds nesting on top. There are a lot of scenarios out there if you pause and have a good look!
