The idea for this print came to me during a quiet morning walk in my local park. The cherry blossoms were in full bloom, their delicate petals creating a magical atmosphere. I was reminded of the Japanese concept of 'Mono no aware,' the awareness of the transience of things and the bittersweet feeling of their passing.

I wanted to capture that fleeting beauty, that sense of gentle melancholy, in a single image. The young woman beneath the tree represents the viewer, lost in her own contemplation amidst the ephemeral beauty of nature. The obscured face allows for personal projection – each viewer can see themselves in the image.

I think this print would be particularly lovely as wall art. Imagine it hanging in a bedroom or living room, a constant reminder to appreciate the beauty of the present moment.
