In the quiet of my small Tokyo apartment, the sound of rain on the window often pulls my mind to other places. This morning, it took me back to Kyoto, to a small tea garden I visited years ago. The memory isn't particularly sharp. But the feeling is clear - the damp earth under my feet, the sweetness of matcha, and the dance of cherry blossom petals in the wind.
