Walking through the city, I often find myself drawn to the forgotten corners – alleyways where nature reclaims concrete. Last week, sunlight hit a wall just right, illuminating layers of old posters, graffiti tags, and peeling paint. It wasn't just vandalism; it was a visual poem etched over time.
I started imagining the lives of those who left their mark – snippets of conversations, bursts of rebellion, quiet declarations of love. The wall became a palimpsest, whispering secrets only the city knows. This inspired the 'Concrete Poetry' concept. I want to capture the raw energy and unintentional artistry found in these overlooked urban spaces.
This print works well as a piece of wall art, maybe a large canvas in a loft apartment or even a smaller framed print for a study. I think this would also be incredible printed on a t-shirt for a really striking fashion piece with texture. It would also bring out a completely different feel when used as a poster.
