In my wanders through the city, I'm drawn to the sheer geometric nature of the buildings. I find beauty and harmony when I'm gazing upwards from the sidewalk.
It struck me the other day: concrete walls are kind of like blank pages. I began noticing that certain times of day the shadows hitting these walls create what look like letter shapes. If we stare long enough perhaps the whole building could become a poem in concrete. So the print idea is to generate that effect digitally; a merging of actual architecture with superimposed text formed of shadows.
I feel like this works best as wall art. Large format is perfect. You get the full impact of scale with the message.
