I was walking through my neighbourhood last week when the late afternoon light hit the side of a concrete building. The harsh shadows and the repetitive patterns of the structure suddenly became something beautiful. It struck me - we often overlook the beauty in the everyday, especially in architecture we see as 'brutal'.
This image celebrates the raw power of urban landscapes. It is all about the interplay of light and shadow on unforgiving surfaces. I like that the photo style hints at human life without directly showing people - a shadow here, a glimpse of a window there. These are the quiet stories that buildings hold.
I think this particular image would look amazing as a t-shirt print, perhaps with the geometric forms filling the front and back. It has a graphic, bold quality.
